Hi swim parents,

Great job to everyone who swam in Glasgow this past weekend! Congratulations to our high point winners and to our couple 8Us who had their first meet ever! Thank you to everyone who helped set up and run the Shark Pups meet and making it such a fun time for them! Awards from Glasgow and previous meets are being handed out this week.

Team Breakfast

For this Friday's team breakfast after practice, we are planning to do breakfast burritos. If you plan to come and would like to help bring additional side items, please use the link below to sign up. There will only be practice available for Groups 2 and 3 on Friday mornings from 7:30-8:30am if they would like to come.

Practices

Night practices will continue through the end of the season from 8-9 PM to work on skills and technique leading up to Divisionals and State. This is a great opportunity for swimmers to improve their racing skills. If your swimmer decides to attend, please allow 10-15 minutes after for them to help put back on the pool covers.

Divisionals this weekend!

Entries for this weekend's meet in Scobey are now open and can be found through the team schedule. For this week and State, please do not enter your swimmers in events. Please declare whether you will be attending or not. We will be discussing entries this week with the swimmers and entering their individual events and relays. More information will be sent out later in the week with more details on warmups and start times. Please make sure to declare attending or not before 12:00 PM on Wednesday. No late adds will be allowed. For Divisionals and State there will be no exhibition events. To ensure everyone knows what they are signed up for and expected to swim at the meet, an additional email will be send out on Wednesday night or Thursday morning after relays have been put together and events have been finalized. Please go over this with your athletes so both you and your swimmers know what they will be racing. If anything looks off or the wrong event is set for exhibition, please reach out no later than 12:00 on Thursday. Once entries are submitted at that point, we cannot make any further changes.

As a reminder: If your swimmer would like to attend Divisionals to qualify for state, they must have attended at least 2 competitions prior to divisionals in order to go.

Divisionals and State:

This year’s divisional and state theme will be Moana! Our divisionals party is this week on Wednesday 7/22. Please meet at the hockey building by 6:00 for activities. We will open up the pool to everyone after the party, so please bring a suit and feel free to bring floaties or games!

Moana is showing at Richardson Theater on Saturday at 7:00 after prelims of Divisionals. If your swimmer would like to come, please sign up below so we can have a general head count.
