State Week!!
Hi shark families!
Everyone who swam at Divisionals this past weekend did an amazing job! Out of the 52 swimmers we brought, we had 44 qualify for state this weekend! Congratulations to our three high point winners and Morgan Kindopp for breaking the Federation record in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:19.12!
Team Breakfast
For this Friday's team breakfast after practice, we are planning to do pancakes. If you plan to come and would like to help bring additional side items, please bring syrup, fruit, chocolate milk, or orange juice. There will only be practice available for Groups 2 and 3 on Friday morning from 7:30-8:30am if they would like to come.
Practices this week
There will be no more night practice for the remainder of the season including today. In addition, today is the last opportunity to practice from 4:30-5:30 to do starts and turn work. Friday we will open the pool again from 12-1 for anyone that would like extra work and will still be in town.
Team Fair day
On Thursday, there will be no starts and turns or night practice so everyone can go enjoy the fair and rodeo for the afternoon! If you see other swimmers, please say hi! Enjoy yourselves, but don’t eat too much fair food before racing this weekend!
State this weekend!
Entries for this weekend's meet have been automatically entered after divisionals. You should be able to access entries and see everything through swimcloud now. Please see attachments at the end for heat and psyche sheets. Please go over this with your athletes so both you and your swimmers know what they will be racing. Team warmups begin at 9:15. Please have your swimmers to the team area ready to start by 9:00 at the latest.
Reminder: make sure to hydrate, fuel, and get some good sleep heading into state. If your swimmer participates in lifting groups or other sports, they should start easing off weight and difficulty so they are a bit more rested for this weekend. We look forward to a fast and fun state meet!
If there are any questions, issues, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!
